In Vienna's City Hall, the "2nd District Energy Convention of Southeast Europe Municipalities" took place on the subject of sustainable energy solutions for municipalities. The 220 participants came from Austria, Southeast Europe, Ukraine and Moldova. Since many of the participating municipalities are doing or planning the modernisation of their energy infrastructure, the Convention in
particular aimed at giving the decision-makers from municipalities the chance to learn, grow, exchange ideas and concepts in the field of energy (energy planning, "waste to energy", district heating, district cooling, renewables, solar, urban planning, regulatory and financing) and therefore to contribute to sustainable development of their respective municipal infrastructure.
