COMPTEXT is an international community of scholars working on the Quantitative and Computational Analysis of Text, Image, and Video as Data. COMPTEXT conferences offer opportunities to obtain useful feedback on ongoing research, present new data and methods, network with scholars working on similar themes, and participate in workshops.
The increasing use of large language models (LLMs) in computational text analysis presents opportunities and challenges for the social sciences. At COMPTEXT 2025, two critical issues will be explored in depth: first, the evolving infrastructures needed to support LLMs and their impact on open science; second, strategies to mitigate bias and improve the representation of marginalized voices in computational text analysis.
